SPONSOR MAGAZINE is an independent publication to carry a channel of sponsorship and information for anyone studying the 12-step process for Recovery. It is not dedicated to AA alone, but to members of the many other Recovery programs using the 12-Steps, some of whom have asked permission from AA WSO.
This is not a publication by the AA WSO or any other service body of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Debtors Anonymous, Emtoional Health Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Marijuana Anonymous, Meth Anonymous, Al-Anon, Gamanon, Naranon or any other 12-Step program.
The magazine is the sharing of experience, strength and
hope - and
hopefully humor - intended to fulfill the Twelfth Step of our shared
programs. Each issue will have specific focus on articles for
Newcomers, for Sponsors, for the qustion for the Spiritual Awakening,
for Program History and something about humor in the new life, it is made available for free on the web
because the technology has
made that possible. Hardcopy from the print-on-demand service we use
means there is no investment in creation of a publishing house,
typesetting, layout, printing, collating, binding, warehousing, selling
or shipping the magazine. The authors write their words, the
virtual-publisher does the layout and posts the PDFs and the PDF can be
printed as a standard magazine, full color throughout. Purchases do not
go to SPONSOR MAGAZINE, but to
the print-on-demand service, who process
the orders and payment, then ships the copy to the buy. Producing
magazines as "quantity 1" means we do not get the economy of mass
production. Future issues will add to the number of pages if readers
become contributors.
